Overview

Steve Gallagher focuses his practice on civil litigation, with particular emphasis upon cases involving personal injury, professional malpractice, building construction, and products liability.

He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Notre Dame, with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accountancy. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Graduate School. He earned his law degree at the University of Florida, graduating with high honors in 1977. While attending the University of Florida, he was a member of the Law Review, Phi Kappa Phi legal honor society, and the Order of the Coif. He received the Justice Richard Ervin Award as the Outstanding University of Florida Law Student of 1977. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 through 1993, retiring with the rank of Captain. At the time of his retirement, he was serving as Circuit Court-Martial Judge for the Navy's Southeast Judicial Circuit.

Mr. Gallagher joined Marks Gray in 1993. He is a member of the Florida Bar, California Bar, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, and Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel (Past President). He is on the Board of Directors of the Notre Dame Club of North Florida, and is a member of the Rotary Club of Mandarin, Florida.
