Marianne Lloyd Aho is a civil litigator who has focused her practice on liability defense and commercial litigation work for over nineteen years and is a Certified Circuit Court Mediator. Marianne has been awarded a rating of "AV," the highest rating possible by her peers through Martindale-Hubbell. Her general liability practice includes the following: automobile, medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability, property damage, trucking and transportation law, and UM/UIM.
She is a member of The Florida Bar and the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida.
Ms. Aho is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association and was on the Board of Governors from 1999 – 2003 as well as a Board Member of the Young Lawyers Section from 1996 – 1999. Ms. Aho is currently serving as a member of a Florida Bar Grievance Committee. She is a member of the Florida Defense Lawyers Association, the Jacksonville Women’s Network, and the Chester Bedell Inn of Court (1998 – 2002, 2006 – present as a Master level member). Ms. Aho was also a member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the First District Court of Appeal (member 1994 – 1998; Vice-Chair 1997 – 1998), was a Board Member for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc. (1994 – 2000), and served as Secretary for the Jacksonville Association of Defense Counsel (2004 – 2005). Additionally, Ms. Aho appeared in both the July 2007 and July 2008 editions of Florida Trend magazine as Florida’s Legal Elite. She was also named to both the 2008 and 2009 Super Lawyers list. Only 5% of the lawyers in Florida earn the Super Lawyers honor.
Ms. Aho’s speaking engagements include, “Damages in Wrongful Death Cases,” (Atlanta, Orlando) and “Trucking Law & Motor Vehicle Accidents,” (Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa).
