Victor Halbach's practice focuses on civil trial defense, in the areas of municipal liability, products liability, premises liability, transportation law (including aviation and trucking accidents), construction, and commercial litigation.
Mr. Halbach attended Florida State University where he received his B.S. in 1961. He attended the University of Florida, where he received his J.D. in 1965.
Mr. Halbach has practiced law with Marks Gray since 1966. He is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer; Fellow, American College of Trial Lawyers; member of the American Board of Trial Advocates; and Fellow, American Bar Foundation. He is a member of The Florida Bar; Florida Defense Lawyers Association; and Jacksonville Bar Association. He served as President of the Jacksonville Bar Association in 1979. He was appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to The Florida Board of Bar Examiners and served from 1983 to 1988. He was a member of the Florida Bar Board of Governors from1991 to 1995. Mr. Halbach is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel where he served as President from 1996 to 1997 and as Chair of the Board in 1998. He served on the Board of Directors of the Lawyers for Civil Justice from 1996 to 1998. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Defense Research Institute from 1996 to 1998. He is also a member of The Association of Defense Trial Attorneys. Mr. Halbach is a member of the Lawyer Pilots Bar Association and was chair of the Florida Bar Aviation Committee from 1987 to 1989.
